The Big Trip: Day 1

I am posting this at the beginning of Day 2.  Day 1 was the trip from Anchor Point to Anchorage. It was pretty uneventful except for an "Oversize Event" just north of Sterling.  I eventually passed the guy and expressed my displeasure.

When we got here, it was beautiful.  The dogs dragged me around Cheney Lake, then I went to Fred Meyer and got almost everything on my list.  After a nice dinner with Jesse and Sarah, I crashed.

Today.  The plan today is to make it as far as Tok. It's 328 miles from Anchorage to Tok. There is a nice campground (according the the Milepost on my iPad) just south of there.  We'll probably stop there for the night then go into Tok and do the tourist thing (and search for a wifi hotspot) tomorrow.

Getting Ready to Leave

This is the place to look if you want to keep up with my travels to Montana and Oregon. I am not going to post on my Facebook page because I don't really want to advertise that I'm going to be gone.
