Busy Day

These are the two shibori scarves. The white one is a burn-out method using silk/rayon velvet. The velvet burns out, leaving the silk.

The orange one is chenille dyed using woven shibori.
This is a view through the silk/rayon shibori. The next thing I'll do is dye it.  I also have to do a little felting where I got carried away and the fiber etch ate EVERYTHING.

Close up of the chenille shibori.  It is pretty bright.

This is the design I'm working on for the quilt show in May.  We are featuring shorebird quilts.  I've decided to go very abstract.

These are the first two "flocks" of geese I created. It's a very cool free-form paper piecing method. The tricky part is going to be assembling all the pieces once I get them made.

Today was a lovely day here in Anchor Point. The sun shone all day, melting the snow like crazy. There are deep puddles in the front of the house, but farther up the road, dirt is appearing. Who knew I'd be so glad to see dirt.

I spent a while today sitting on the deck with the poods, knitting.  It was glorious.
